Indian Summer

The weather has been beautiful--70s during the day.
Perfect motorcycling weather.
The Alpine Loop.

The Mount Nebo Loop.

This is the Devil's Kitchen in the Nebo Loop.
It looks like a little Bryce Canyon.

I got a chance to travel with Dennis to Pasco to visit
Celia & Brandon and the children.
Part of the fun of being a grandma is buying treats for the grandkids without any thought to doing the laundry or scrubbing the car afterwards. Celia and Brandon are really good sports.

Hailey has the icecream cone licking figured out.

Last weekend, we celebrated Quinn's and Aunt Debbie's birthdays.
Quinn is not turning 4.
He turned 6 years old this month but I ran out of candles.
(I had two boxes in the cupboard. I thought that I had plenty.
But there were only 5 candles total.)
Quinn was such a good sport that he was willing to celebrate by sharing what was left with Aunt Deb
and so blew out a symbolic amount of candles.

Do you like the festive Zombie sprinkles?
That was the name of the sprinkles so that we would buy a bottle and put them on our Halloween treats this month.
(It worked for me.)
They remind you of zombies don't they?

The crutch in the background is Aunt Debbie's. She had surgery this summer on her knee that did nerve damage to her foot.
They recently operated to repair that damage.
She is doing better but is not doing any handsprings yet.

Summer Birthday Blowouts

Hey you guys, it was Aunt Darla's 50th birthday on August 4th.
Tisher and Tueller cousins joined for the celebration.
Those cousins are easy to throw a party with, they prepared enough pasta salad to feed 100 of us. There were actually around 40 total.
(That is cousin Laura Tisher sitting with Darla.)

Dennis and Brita did the decorations.

Next, it was Patton's second birthday on September 8th.

Brita and Matt enjoyed the Nemo cake. It didn't taste at all fishy.

Jessi served delicious orange Nemo punch.

Quinn helped with the decorating.

He put this crepe paper here because he wanted us all to notice Jesus.

Opening presents--the best part of birthdays.

Patton was even happy to get the pants

that Jessi requested that we get for him.

Fun times.
